Key benefits of Canine Craving dehydrated chicken wings for dogs

Key benefits of Dehydrated Chicken Wings

🍗 A taste most dogs know

Chicken is a protein most dogs already eat and enjoy. If your dog does well on chicken, this is an easy first chew.

🦴 A proper chew

Your dog has to work through the meat, skin and small bones, so it slows down instead of gulping. Handy on monsoon days when walks get cut short.

🦷 Helps keep teeth clean

Chewing through a wing gives your dog's teeth a natural scrub. A good add-on to brushing, not a replacement for it.

💪 Cartilage for joints

Chicken wings contain cartilage, a natural source of glucosamine, which contributes to joint comfort and mobility. It's a chew, not a replacement for a dedicated joint supplement.

🌿 Single ingredient, nothing artificial

Just dehydrated chicken wing. No grains, and no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives.

Ingredients of Dehydrated Chicken Wings

Chicken wing 100%.

Chicken wing

  • What it is: a dehydrated chicken wing, with meat, skin, cartilage and small bones.
  • Why it's good for your dog: a protein most dogs already know, plus cartilage that naturally contains glucosamine.
  • Who should avoid it: dogs with a known chicken allergy, and dogs who swallow chews whole.

No grains, and no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives. Each pack contains 70 g.

Safety note: Never give your dog cooked bones from the kitchen. Cooked bones turn brittle and can splinter. Always supervise your dog with this chew and take away small leftover pieces.

Nutritional Value of Dehydrated Chicken Wings

Approximate nutrition

  • Crude protein: about 35–42%
  • Crude fat: about 35–45%
  • Crude ash: about 11–14%
  • Crude fibre: about 1%
  • Moisture: under 10%

These are approximate values, based on published analyses of similar dried chicken wing chews. They are not a lab analysis of this product, and they vary with size and batch.

What this means for your dog

Chicken wings carry about as much fat as protein, most of it from the skin, so go easy for dogs watching their weight and count them within your dog's daily food. The bones add minerals, which is why the ash is higher than in a meat-only treat. Treats should stay under 10% of what your dog eats in a day.

Safety standards & test results

Lab test results for this product are awaited. We'll share them here as soon as they're in.

How to use the product

🦴 How to give it to your dog

  • 🍖 Give it as a chew, not as a meal.
  • 👀 Let your dog chew in a calm spot and stay nearby. Never leave your dog alone with a chew.
  • 🗑️ Take away small leftover pieces.
  • 💧 Keep fresh water within reach.

🐾 Giving it for the first time?

  • 1️⃣ Day 1: give one piece in a calm, quiet spot. Don't introduce any other new food on day 1 or 2.
  • 2️⃣ Day 2: no chew today. Watch for any tummy upset.
  • 3️⃣ Day 3 onwards: if all is well, move to the daily amount below.

⚖️ Daily amount

Up to 2 to 4 pieces a day, depending on your dog's size, as recommended by Canine Craving.

Keep all treats under 10% of your dog's daily food. If your dog eats 200 g of food a day, that is less than 20 g of treats. For small dogs, stay at the lower end, or give them a few times a week instead.

🐶 For puppies

Suitable for puppies 4 months and older. Keep sessions short and stay with your puppy throughout.

📦 How to store

Keep the wings sealed in the vacuum pack, in the fridge if you can, or in a cool, dark, dry place. Once opened, move them to an airtight container or zip pouch with the gel pack, refrigerate if possible, and use within 15 days.

FAQs

Are chicken wings safe for dogs?

Yes, when you supervise. Dehydrated chicken wings are a common natural chew. Never give your dog cooked bones from the kitchen, which turn brittle and can splinter, and take away small leftover pieces.

Can puppies have chicken wings?

Yes, from 4 months. Keep the first sessions short and stay with your puppy throughout. Follow the day 1 to day 3 steps above.

How many chicken wings can I give my dog in a day?

Up to 2 to 4 pieces a day, depending on your dog's size, as Canine Craving recommends. Start with one, and count them within your dog's daily food, since treats should stay under 10% of what your dog eats in a day.

Are chicken wings good for a dog's teeth?

They can help. Chewing through a wing gives your dog's teeth a natural scrub, but it's an add-on to brushing, not a replacement for it.

Chicken wings or duck wings: which should I pick?

Pick the chicken wings if your dog already eats chicken without trouble. Pick our duck wings if chicken doesn't suit your dog, since duck is a protein most Indian dogs haven't had.
