Key benefits of Canine Craving dehydrated duck wings for dogs

Key benefits of Dehydrated Duck Wings

🦆 Hypo-allergenic protein

Duck is a protein most Indian dogs haven't had, so it suits dogs who don't do well on chicken. If your dog has a diagnosed food allergy, check with your vet first.

🦴 A proper chew

Your dog has to work through the meat, skin and soft bone, so it slows down instead of gulping. Handy on monsoon days when walks get cut short.

🦷 Helps keep teeth clean

Chewing through a wing gives your dog's teeth a natural scrub. A good add-on to brushing, not a replacement for it.

💪 Cartilage for joints

Duck wings contain cartilage, a natural source of glucosamine, which contributes to joint comfort and mobility. It's a chew, not a replacement for a dedicated joint supplement.

🌿 Single ingredient, nothing artificial

Just dehydrated duck wing. No grains, and no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives.

Ingredients of Dehydrated Duck Wings

Duck wing 100%.

Duck wing

  • What it is: a dehydrated duck wing, with meat, skin, cartilage and thin, hollow bones.
  • Why it's good for your dog: a protein most Indian dogs haven't had, plus cartilage that naturally contains glucosamine.
  • Who should avoid it: dogs with a known duck allergy, and dogs who swallow chews whole.

No grains, and no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives. Each pack contains 2 pieces.

Safety note: Never give your dog cooked bones from the kitchen. Cooked bones turn brittle and can splinter. Always supervise your dog with this chew and take away small leftover pieces.

Nutritional Value of Dehydrated Duck Wings

Approximate nutrition

  • Crude protein: about 45–55%
  • Crude fat: about 15–30%
  • Crude ash: about 10–15%
  • Crude fibre: about 2–5%
  • Moisture: under 10%

These are approximate values, based on published analyses of similar dried duck wing chews. They are not a lab analysis of this product, and they vary with wing size and batch.

What this means for your dog

Duck wings are rich in protein, and the skin makes them fairly high in fat, so count them within your dog's daily food. The bone and cartilage add minerals, which is why the ash is higher than in a meat-only treat. Treats should stay under 10% of what your dog eats in a day.

Safety standards & test results

Product samples have been sent to the lab for testing. Results to be updated soon.

How to use the product

🦴 How to give it to your dog

  • 🍖 Give it as a chew, not as a meal.
  • 👀 Let your dog chew in a calm spot and stay nearby. Never leave your dog alone with a chew.
  • 🗑️ Take away small leftover pieces.
  • 💧 Keep fresh water within reach.

🐾 Giving it for the first time?

  • 1️⃣ Day 1: give one piece in a calm, quiet spot. Don't introduce any other new food on day 1 or 2.
  • 2️⃣ Day 2: no chew today. Watch for any tummy upset.
  • 3️⃣ Day 3 onwards: if all is well, move to the daily amount below.

⚖️ Daily amount

Up to one piece a day, as recommended by Canine Craving.

Keep all treats under 10% of your dog's daily food. If your dog eats 200 g of food a day, that is less than 20 g of treats. For small dogs, a whole wing can be more than that, so give it a few times a week instead.

🐶 For puppies

Suitable for puppies 3 months (12 weeks) and older, as Canine Craving recommends. Keep sessions short and stay with your puppy throughout.

📦 How to store

Keep the wings sealed in their vacuum pack, in the fridge if you can, or in a cool, dark, dry place. Once opened, move them to an airtight container or zip pouch with the gel pack, refrigerate if possible, and use within 15 days.

FAQs

Are duck wings safe for dogs?

Yes, when you supervise. Duck wing bones are thin and hollow, and dehydrated wings are a common natural chew. Never give your dog cooked bones from the kitchen, which turn brittle and can splinter, and take away small leftover pieces.

Can puppies have duck wings?

Yes, from 3 months (12 weeks), as Canine Craving recommends. Keep the first sessions short and stay with your puppy throughout. Follow the day 1 to day 3 steps above.

My dog is allergic to chicken. Can he have duck wings?

Often, yes. Duck is a different protein from chicken, and many dogs who react to chicken do well on duck. If your dog has a diagnosed allergy, check with your vet, then start with the day 1 to day 3 steps above.

How often can I give my dog a duck wing?

Up to one piece a day, as Canine Craving recommends. For small dogs, a few times a week is better, since treats should stay under 10% of what your dog eats in a day.

Duck wings or duck cartilage: which should I pick?

Pick the duck wings for a meatier chew with soft bone. Pick our duck cartilage for a softer chew with no bone, good for gentle chewers.
